Our Story

Hello, I’m Simone Thompson, and I am the founder/owner of The Minnie Co. 

I am a mum to a beautiful little angel named Carmi. She is my absolute world and at the forefront of all the decisions I make. Creating a business that she sees makes me happy and fulfilled is part of that and the best gift I can give her.

After giving birth to Carmi in 2018, I soon found myself stuck in a full time job I was no longer passionate about and felt my ‘cup’ depleting the longer I stayed. I always knew that I wanted to have my own business one day, and feeling trapped in a career that no longer served me, led me to The Minnie Co. It was something I knew I could truly give 100% of my energy to, and would align with my values, with my role as a mum and with all other facets of my life and business skills.

In July 2020, I made the decision to kick start my little dream, working through the design process and with an incredible production team to bring The Minnie Co. to life.

It has been an absolute whirlwind since then (filled with so much learning, improvement and incredibly proud moments). I am very hopeful for the Future of The Minnie Co. and look forward to creating and sourcing beautiful and quality items for your families and friends.
